Whether the phone has a telephone number or not or whether you have signed up for service or not, any cell phone can connect to 911. Donating your old, used cell phone (with the charger) gives access to police help to

Planned Giving
Planned giving provides a way for you to make a gift to S.A.F.E. Place and at the same time receive favorable tax considerations. S.A.F.E. Place has received many of its most significant commitments of support in the form of planned gifts, and we remain deeply grateful to our friends who provide for our agency's future in this way. In fact, by considering a planned giving option, you may be able to make a larger gift than you thought possible — a gift that also benefits yourself.

S.A.F.E. Place's staff can help you think creatively as you consider estate planning, financial planning and tax planning as an important component of making a gift. Gifts of Stock
A charitable gift of stock provides an opportunity for tax savings while supporting S.A.F.E. Place. A gift of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is made. If the stock has appreciated, you also avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciation in value. If you would like to discuss a gift of stock, please call (269) 965-6093.

S.A.F.E. Place is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS. We depend largely upon private donations to keep our shelter and 24-hour helpline running as well as establish public awareness on the issues of sexual and domestic violence.
