  • 8-32 hours per week, $8.00/hr. Must be available to work overnights and weekends. We are looking for dependable, self-motivated individuals to staff a 46-bed shelter for victims of domestic violence. Ability to interact professionally with staff and residents a must! Duties include: interacting with and meeting the daily needs of residents, handling crisis calls, doing intake assessments, and ensuring the safety of the residence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as adaptability to a variety of computer software programs is required.

  • Full time/salaried, $24,000-$28,000 per year. We are looking for dependable, self-motivated individuals to provide case management for survivors of domestic violence in a residential shelter setting. Ability to interact professionally with staff and residents a must! Duties include: developing productive helping relationships with residents; coordinating, linking and monitoring referrals to community resources; moving residents toward goal achievement. On-call availability required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as adaptability to a variety of computer software programs is required.

  • Program Director

    S.A.F.E. Place is a not-for-profit domestic violence service organization serving a three county area. The organization has multiple programs including a residential shelter, court advocacy, permanent supportive housing, children’s programming as well as therapy, case management and support groups.

    This position will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for all areas related to successful program implementation. These duties include but are not limited to ensuring quality services to survivors, supervision of staff, scheduling, coaching and training, writing reports and representing the organization to the public.

    PROFILE:

    S.A.F.E. Place is looking for a dynamic professional with previous experience in the field of domestic violence and social justice; an experienced leader with a strong commitment to an empowerment based model of treatment and a servant leadership style of management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The candidate must have a bachelors degree in a related field as well as five (5) years of related experience.

    Ability to handle project management, time pressures, and crisis management.

    Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate individual initiative is a must.

    Must be proficient in a Microsoft Office environment as well as adaptable to a variety of computer software programs, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet and/or exceed deadlines.

    An ability to demonstrate an understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and a commitment to an empowerment based treatment model are critical to job success.

    Excellent and proven supervision skills are also required.
